Karate is both an art form and physical fitness. It helps develop mental alertness, concentration, and the ability to think and act effectively in all situations.
Our dojo offers instruction in Yamashita-Matayoshi Kobudo. Training in Kobudo compliments Karate training and increases one's knowledge of the art.
Aikido is a martial art used by its practitioners to defend themselves and protect the attackers from injury if possible.
Tai Chi is an internal martial art that can help reduce stress, increase flexibility, and increase agility.
All of our instructors have at least 20 years of experience in their respective martial art. Sensei Schroeder has over 50 years of experience in the art of Okinawan Karate & Kobudo and also is a State of Wisconsin Licensed Juvenile Martial Arts Instructor.
The East West Connection dojo has over 2,000 sq. ft. of workout area, air conditioning, showers, and a lower level student lounge. We were established in 1969 and have been in our current location for over 34 years.
Our mission is to carry on the values, techniques, and philosophies of those that have gone before us and adapt the principles to modern society for the benefit of all.
This program is designed for children. It focuses on age appropriate self-defense and judgement skills. This is done by developing the student's balance, strength, coordination, and focus. This is done while at the same time teaching courtesy, respect, and life skills that should help them progress into more advanced training.
